Your friend or family member convinced you to join their Ente server ;) Well in this small guide we will help you to setup an account in no time and also provide you the basic tips and tricks on how to use it ;) Besides this written guide we also have a video guide that can be found on our DeterTube Shapps channel which can be accessed by clicking on the video below

1. Two Pieces of Information

If your friend invited you to join their Ente server then you should have received two pieces of information. 

1. Ente Website Domain: This is the web application where you create your account and how you can access your photos through a web browser. As an example such a domain could look like

https://ente.examblebox.org

2. API Domain: Once an account has been created than this will be the domain that you need to use to login to the Ente Phone, Tablet and Desktop Apps. As an example this could look like

https://api-ente.examplebox.org

2. Creating an account 

If you have received these two pieces of information then you are ready to create an account on your friends instance

1. The first step is using their Ente Website Domain and use your Web Browser on your phone or desktop to access it

2. You will then be shown the Ente website of your friend

3. Here you can check as well if all is correct because the API Domain is also presented in small white letters as can be seen on the screenshot below. 

 

 

 

4. Then simply click on create a new account

5. You will then receive a confirmation code on the Email address you registered with

6. Fill in the code

7. Then congratulations! Sweet you created your Ente account on your friends server
